leopard skirt how to style edgy vibes festival

if you follow me on instagram (if you don’t, what are you doing?), you probably saw that i posted this IGTV video the other day showing you FOUR ways to wear a leopard skirt. truly, you could swap out any midi skirt in these looks – mine just happens to be animal print!

i absolutely LOVED putting together all these looks. would y’all be interested in seeing more posts like this? it’s so fun to shop your own closet sometimes and see all the different styles you can come up with. i swear i totally forget about certain pieces at times, and when i rediscover them i fall in love all over again!

ps: shopping your own closet saves you all the $$$. get more bang for your buck from that leopard skirt you just had to have! 😉

leopard is the new black.

happy friday, babes! is anyone else jumping on this leopard bandwagon with me? i’ve literally been so obsessed with anything and everything leopard recently. it’s so tempting to buy every cute leo print sweater or scarf or bootie i come by. i shared this look over on insta a few weeks back (also wore this sweater for thanksgiving!) and y’all went crazy over this sweater, so i thought i’d share a little more in depth!

i had been wanting a leo sweater for a while, but you know me, i’m picky. i didn’t want one that screamed LEOPARD or that was brighter or super brown. leopard incognito, if you will. LOL well, i saw this one and purchased it immediately. like total impulse purchase. i mean it’s under $25…wouldn’t you have too?

i’ll be honest with you, babe, this sweater was a tad itchy when i first got it. you get what you pay for? needless to say, i was a little let down, but i threw a shirt on underneath and powered through because it’s just so darn cute! i also washed and dried it (according to care instructions, no worries!) and that did help a bit.

when i say leopard is the new black, i mean it! it goes with EVERYTHING. black, brown, red, yellow, blue, stripes, floral, ANYTHING. #mindblowing give it a try!

enjoy your weekend, babe!! xo

today’s look..your highlight reel.

happy happy friday, lovebugs! this week went by so quickly. like i’m pretty sure yesterday was monday, was it not?
some of you are probably thinking the exact opposite as is friday couldn’t get here soon enough.
well regardless, the weekend is here, so take this time to participate in a little R&R. i know i will!
today concludes my third week of my internship. it’s almost been a whole month! time is seriously flying! i have learned so much already in the short time i’ve been working with kait, and a lot of our work is making me realize how not-so-glamorous the life of a blogger/entrepreneur/#girlboss can be.

the art of being a loner.

i survived week one, y’all!
well, not that i thought i wouldn’t survive. i mean it’s not like i’m roughing it and working for some crazy person. i’ve been so incredibly blessed to live in such a nice place with such wonderful people and to work with an absolutely amazing woman.
i could go on and on about all i learned this week and things i did, but i’ll spare you. 😉
(but if you do want to hear all about it let’s go get coffee, give me a ring, OH! or be my penpal.)
i will clue you in on one thing i’m learning though: the art of being a loner.
okay, that sounds so pitiful, but i promise you it’s not! i cherish “em time” and to know that a lot of this summer will be just that makes me SO excited.
i love adventuring on my own when i get the chance. coming from college where i’m constantly surrounded by dear friends, & my precious boyfriend, to the bustling city of los angeles where i only truly know four people, i just had to kind of adapt to making it on my own. so much selfgrowth and discovery can happen when you are pushed out of your comfort zone. you find out what YOU believe in, what your faith is rooted in, what your true passions are. and i’m quite looking forward to that.
(sidenote: i’m not even going to talk about getting lonely, because loneliness sucks. absolutely sucks, but you learn that it’s only temporary. okay, moving on…)
so yeah, maybe i’ll be doing a lot on my own, learning to be a loner, and who knows maybe i’ll make some friends along the way. in the end, i know that the lord has big plans for this summer and that by the end of it my relationship with him will be the strongest it’s ever been, my love for bud will be 10x greater (distance makes the heart grow fonder, yanno?) & i will be an all around better me than before.
so here’s to the art of being a loner!
as for today’s look, the adventures are just beginning, y’all!! these gorgeous photos were taken up in montecito, california earlier this week by my new friend/boss lady #2/photographer kat hennessey (she is FAB, y’all, so go give her a follow), and i’m obsessed.
