a weekend at the AC Hotel OKC.

anyone in need of a little staycation? a couple weekends ago my gal pal, brittany, and i had a fun getaway in OKC. oklahoma city isn’t necessarily a vacation for either of us (we both live less than an hour away), but a good staycation never hurt anyone.

we stayed at the BEAUTIFUL AC Hotel down in bricktown (in collaboration with Marriott). y’all, this chic, european style hotel just opened back in december 2017 and it is breathtaking. this gal definitely didn’t feel like she was in oklahoma anymore. if you’re all about some good modern, minimalistic architecture, the AC is for you.

i can’t say enough good things about our stay at the AC Bricktown. i mean look at the view they gave us! the top floor has amazing views of bricktown & downtown..even in the fog. it’s within walking distance of so many venues, restaurants and bars and a quick drive/uber over to downtown for even more fun things to do. or you can be like me and britt and sit at the hotel bar after dinner, drink RBVs and make friends with the bartender. LOL they told us they try to source as much liquor & beer locally as they can. how cool is that?

getting ready the next morning was a breeze. rainfall shower head? spacious bathroom? great lighting? such a dream. we of course went down for breakfast (and to take photos lol) before heading out for the day. i was super excited because instead of your traditional hotel breakfast food, it’s a more european style breakfast. sweet & savory tarts, perfectly sliced meats & cheeses, fresh fruit, croissants and a nespresso machine. WHAT?

sidenote if you’re at the AC for business or more than one night: the fitness center is BOMB. that’s always one thing i hope for in a nice hotel is an excellent gym. they also have a great business center/work space if you need somewhere to be productive, have a meeting, etc.

needless to say, i’ll be back. a huge thanks to the AC Hotel in bricktown for hosting us for the weekend!
