Love Emmarie | all in the details + transforming simple looks

helllloooooo babes! so today was my last first day of classes. crazy. it’s a bittersweet feeling. on one hand, i’m so glad that i’m almost finished with school, but at the same time i’m so sad that this chapter of my life is coming to a close. luckily, this semester should be a piece of cake, which means good times are bound to be had! but enough about school, let’s chat about this look!

if someone asks me to describe my sense of style i always say something like “effortless” or “easy going,” which if you aren’t careful can turn into “boring.” and no one wants to dress boringly, am i right, ladies?

i’ve realized that the key to keeping this from happening is focusing all on the details. like these studded high rise jeans, or this pin striped cabby hat, or these fun chelsea boots. this look is simple in itself (basic tee, cardigan and booties), but all these details are what MAKE this look.

thank goodness my sister made me buy this hat. i’ve been talking about getting a cabby hat like this for forever but just haven’t bitten the bullet. i’m still a little unsure if i can pull it off…but i’m obsessed with it so WHO CARES?!
