frills + thrills: november

first things first, i was frackin freezing shooting this in 35 degree weather. i definitely picked the wrong december day as yesterday was about 75 degrees. thanks oklahoma. but enough about the weather, i wanted to post my frills + thrills for november today, because sometimes you just need to reflect on what’s been making you happy. am i right?

1. may designs notebooks

i LOVE my maybook that my girlfriend, brittany, surprised me with! the cool thing about these little notebooks (and this site) is that they’re totally customizable. they have all sorts of prints and patterns to choose from for the cover, and everything from lines, grids, agendas, and every type of journal or planner you can think of for the inside! mine is the prettiest floral print with a 40 day prayer & gratitude journal inside! i’ve never been the prayer journalling type, but this has been so so helpful with my quiet time. you can bet i’ll be getting an agenda and another 40 day journal from them soon!!

2. taking style risks

if you’ve been following me for a while you’d know my style is pretty simple and easy-going, but i’ve really been trying to branch out and get a little edgy. *cue the snakeskin booties and mesh tops* what’s more fun than stepping out of your comfort zone a little?

i’ve made a little wishlist of fun pieces that i’d LOVE to try!

3. season of giving

i love giving gifts and seeing the joy that they bring people, so clearly the holiday season is one joyous time! i shared a gift guide for the 20-something gal in your life a couple of weeks ago and would love to do more. who would you like to see a gift guide for? or under a certain budget, maybe? let me know!

4. ten happy habits

i found this article on The Everygirl‘s insta-story about “the ten habits of all happy women” and absolutely loved it. i wrote them out all cute & scripty and put it on my bulletin board above my desk and even sent a copy to my gal pal, taylor, in a care package! y’all have got to check this out!
