pretty in pleats.

happy weekend, loves! i only have a few weeks left here in sunny los angeles, which is very bittersweet, so i’m trying to get everything checked off my “los angeles: bites & sights” list.

lucky for me, my family made a trip out to see me this week (and yes, i cried when i hugged my momma for the first time in 2 months..don’t hate.) and we are seeing ALLLL the sights and eating ALLLL the food, because who doesn’t like to be tourist in their own city?!

and and and, two of my best girlfriends are coming next weekend and the week after, so even more fun will be had!

this little shoot, however, was in the arts district of DTLA, which was another place i wanted to visit for it’s beautiful, unique murals and photogenic backdrops (even though i shot against a pale pink wall..). wow, i don’t think i’ve ever sounded more like a blogger. but seriously, this area has the coolest vibes and i highly recommend heading over there if you ever get the chance. ooo, and try out zinc cafe while you’re there!

so onto the point of this post, i’m diggin’ this look, y’all!

the star of this look is for sure this pair of culottes from SheIn. how fun are these #pleatedpurplepants?! they are one size fits all, which always scares me because of my build, but they actually fit very nicely and are the perfect length for this tall gal. that being said, they will definitely work for you if you’re shorter; they will just be a bit more high-waisted. — the only gripe i have about these is that the elastic waistband isn’t attached, it’s just enclosed. so it’s constantly getting twisted and the pleats bunch up. (accidentally didn’t notice that when we shot this :/)

and how this top that’s close to 3 years old from h&m matches perfectly, i’m not sure, but we’re just gonna roll with it. the colors are spot on, so i’ll be wearing this combo lots. #outfitrepeater
