welcome to 2017 where we hope your stay is sweet, your memories are precious, your start is fresh and your motivation is strong.
this year is going to be so so good, y’all. i just know it! but before jumping right on into the new year, i love getting to look back at some of my favorite looks from the past year. i can’t tell you how many times i went “awwww i loved that shoot” or “ooo i need to wear that again” while making this post.
now onto 2017.
LET’S DO THIS THING!
i cannot believe it’s already christmas eve!
i got to spend some time with the boy and his family last night before trekking across oklahoma today (boy in tow) to make it in time for christmas eve lunch with my family. now for a little r&r before santa comes tonight! 😉
i can’t wait to spend christmas day with some of my favorite people, and of course see what all goodies i get this year. honestly, i’ve had such a hard time getting into the christmas spirit this year. it just doesn’t feel like it’s even december. maybe it’s a good thing that the commercialized christmas holiday isn’t overwhelming me this year. it is giving me the chance to really focus on what really matters this time of year. the real “reason for the season” if you will. we have a family tradition of reading the christmas story from luke 2 before opening christmas presents, and as i get older i cherish that tradition.
so aside from wanting to know what’s on your christmas list (because i’m nosy), what’s a tradition you have for the holidays? are you full of christmas cheer this year? let’s chat!
[ here’s some cute pictures i took with my sister the other day for a christmas coca-cola campaign. ]
i hope you have a very merry christmas!!
FIVE DAYS PEOPLE. FIVE DAYS!!
i have to constantly remind myself that it’s almost christmas. i guess i’ve just been so busy that i haven’t had time to stop and smell the roses enjoy the christmas lights! is this what it feels like to be a grown up, because i don’t like it.. :/
i shot this look back at thanksgiving and i’ve been DYING to share it.
now i know this isn’t a typical holiday look. there’s no red, green, gold, but it is fab and my sweater is sparkly. need i say more?
this look was inspired by the 1950’s “new look
” (shout out to my heritage of dress class). the highwaisted, pleated midi, off the shoulder top, low heel..so classy.
so if anyone wants to invite me to a fab christmas/holiday party, feel free to do so.
i’d love to give outfit it’s time to shine. 😉
